Well, fall is in full swing now. I’m seeing pumpkins everywhere, and I keep getting notifications about PSL returning to Starbucks.
Yuck! One thing that I’m trying to learn as seasons come and go is to prepare my shop accordingly. It’s hard to have the mindset of transitioning things from season to season because here in Florida, we don’t really have seasons. In summer, we can wear a t-shirt and some shorts. In fall, we just throw on a jacket and maybe switch the shorts out for some jeans. But I’m being more mindful of my customers from other places, as well as those few Floridians who at least want to pretend it’s fall (like me!). Thankfully, I recently got my hands on some gorgeous vintage fabric that can make its way into anyone’s fall wardrobe.
Red Floral Print
This crimson-colored fabric has a nice ditsy floral print all over it! It’s a bit stiff but would look lovely as a full, gathered skirt.
Although we’re all in a fall mood, this fabric can easily translate into a more spring/summer wardrobe.
Blue Bouquet Print
Look at this breathtaking dusty blue! It’s got navy blue bouquets and sky blue…corn-looking things. (If anyone knows what these are, please let me know!)
The stormy colors in this skirt would look great with a pair of black Chelsea boots.
Or when the weather heats up again, wear it with a dreamy blouse and a pair of ladylike pumps.
I’m on the hunt for more vintage fabric, so keep an eye out for more listings. Both of these fabrics can be crafted into a custom skirt, but there are very limited quantities available. Head over to the Kennedy Elise shop for more details on how to order!
Which do you like better, the red floral or the blue floral? Personally, the blue is my favorite!
