It’s been a while since I posted any selfless sewing projects. There’s a reason for that, which I might write about in a future post. My last project was for a friend who had mentioned a few months ago that she wanted a skirt. There was a beautiful, blue floral fabric that someone offered to her at the local flea market (the whole bolt!!!). Once she finally bought it and brought it to me, I had the idea that Seamwork Patsy would be a wonderful option. I had sewn one for my sister and had loved how it turned out. (Psst! Seamwork Patsy #2
I was upset that the print didn’t match up the way I wanted it to on the back!
Oh, well. I’ll have to keep trying to perfect my print-matching skills (or lack thereof).
Once again, I left the patch pockets off and added inseam pockets instead. I also didn’t add the bottom panel this time; it’s all just one continuous piece.
Bonus: In exchange for making her a skirt, my friend let me keep the rest of the fabric! If you head over to my shop, you can order a custom skirt with this lovely bouquet print.
Have you sewn a Patsy yet? I think the next one will be for me!
