We’ve got less than a week left of 2017! The end of the year always makes everyone nostalgic and reflective. I’m just proud of all the sewing I’ve done this year. This is the most I’ve ever made in my life! Sure, not all of it was for me, but some of my favorite makes were the ones that I actually got to keep.
My Favorite Makes
I made a Simplicy 8048 to wear to a wedding, and it turned out so lovely in this vintage pink fabric! My only problem with it is that it wrinkles with the slightest movement. Other than that, I think it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever made.
My sister and I had fought over this flamingo print cotton lawn from Rifle Paper Co for a long time, but I won! I turned it into a modified Seamwork Veronica, and it became the perfect dress for summertime in Florida.
I think my pattern of 2017 was obviously Colette Moneta. This is my most repeated pattern! It started off with a knit houndstooth version, then a solid purple one shortly after. Just when we all thought I was over my obsession, I had to go ahead and make a velvet one.
